Second, they are the preferred provider for NOVA Information Systems, and a supported vendor for the Miva Merchant shopping cart (discussed later). This allows us to handle Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and electronic checks.

Next, we evaluated shopping carts to find out which had all of the features for which we were looking. Our search ended in the Miva Merchant shopping system. Miva is one of the most popular shopping carts on the internet, with over 60, 000 registered users. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates with most of the major vendors, is enhanced by hundreds of programmers, and offers comprehensive support.

Finally, we looked and the system that protects your information as you type it into our shopping cart and submit it. With a Thawte SSL Web Server Certificate on our website, any information sent to our web server is encrypted or scrambled, making it impossible to intercept or steal. It also displays our identity and the name of the independent authority who verified that identity, such as Thawte. The Thawte Web Server Certificate connects at 128 bit, 56 bit or 40 bit depending on the client's browser capability.
